Supported Employment
Welcome Home Ministries recognizes the importance of gainful employment for our clients, facilitating their reintegration into responsible citizenship and self-sustainability. To achieve this, we offer supported employment weekly, employing principles from the evidence-based “Individual Placement and Support” (IPS) model. IPS is a person- centered approach that helps clients attain competitive employment, aligning with their skills and determination for self-sustainability.

We have developed an extensive network of employers and workforce development specialists who partner with us to help our men get re-established in the work force.
For clients without employment upon entering our recovery support ministry, weekly meetings with WHM staff are mandatory. Recovery employment meetings offer encouragement, foster personal responsibility, and assist with resume development, job interviews, and action plans to seek suitable employment.
Despite challenges such as criminal histories and mental health conditions, our track record demonstrates success in helping clients seek and secure gainful employment. We remain committed to aligning our clients’ skills with market demands, continuing to empower them toward a sustainable future through meaningful employment opportunities.
